Sub-16 Match Report by Craig Monaghan

Sub-16 v Lousã - Won by 133 - 0

People will read the result and ask were we playing against an opposition…the answer is yes and they were not nearly as bad as the scoreline suggests.  Our boys were ruthless and clinical and took nearly every opportunity which was presented to us or that we created for ourselves.  With two 30 minute halves that means a try every 2.5 minutes or so.  To do this you need to play mistake-free rugby and so the team did.  It was an impressive display, made even more so in that we played all 25 players in the match day squad.  Giving many boys who had waited for their chance to shine an opportunity to do so.
Joint players of the day were Tin Tin Bader with a huge haul of tries and Henri Maes who had his best game of the season by far and was everywhere!  Other players who particularly stood out were Alec Gould and Jordan Monaghan.
This was an impressive display from a committed bunch of guys who really enjoy playing together.
A message which I know you all expect me to say but I mean, with an excessively one-sided game we now need to keep our feet firmly on the ground and come equally committed to this Saturday´s match against what we know will be much tougher opposition!  Go 16s….our season goals remain intact!
