As a Club, we are delighted to announce that next season our sub-18 squad will be joining with that of our sister club, Escolinha de Rugby da Galiza, to form a combined team to compete in the Campeonato Nacional Série A. The new team will be known as JAGUAR - acronym for Julian's And Galiza United At Rugby.

The two clubs were founded on the same day in 2007 and have always maintained very close ties, including having joint convívios, combining teams in the Youth Rugby Festival and, in recent seasons, exchanging players to supplement each club's sub-16/18 squads in national competitions. Players from Galiza also joined with us to tour South Africa in 2013.

Escolinha de Rugby da Galiza was founded as part of the wider social integration project associated with the ATL da Galiza and has involved many players from disadvantaged backgrounds. St. Julian's Rugby Club was created not only to bring Rugby as a sport to students of St. Julian's School, but also to strengthen the links between our school and the local community.

The union of the two sub-18 squads next season will therefore not only enable both clubs to benefit from the combination of human, technical, financial and logistical resources, but also represents an important step forward in a social integration project of genuine value.

The "Jaguars" will play in a new strip that combines the colours of the two clubs.
