Pedro Machado left for the week-long training camp in Valladolid, Spain on 1st April, and was selected for the game against the U.S.A. on the squad's return to Lisbon.

Having started his Rugby career only last season, he has done incredibly well to rise to such heights in such a short space of time, alhough it has to be said he arrived in 2011 already possessing some serious armoury.

Even in his first training session, it was very clear that here was a young man who was born to play Rugby - a genuine warrior who relished taking the ball forward at every opportunity and always took at least three players to bring him down. That ability is like gold for any team, as he creates space for his team mates whenever he gets the ball.

Pedro has developed his skill set very rapidly, having worked extremely hard at training both at St. Julian's and with the Regional Academy, and thoroughly deserves his national squad recognition.

Pedro is very popular with his team mates and has displayed an impeccable attitude throughout his time with the Club.
