Many congratulations to Santiago de Oriol de Bastos on his selection to the Portugal Sub-18 squad for the upcoming FIRA European Championships to take place in Poland from the 10th to 20th April. Portugal are in the Elite Group, which includes England, France and Ireland, so it will be a major challenge for the National squad.

Luso-Espanhol Santi has been on the international radar for some time and has been a key member of St. Julian's Rugby Club's Sub-18 squad, playing an integral part in their last two successful A League campaigns. He has been a rock as the last line of defence at full back, super dependable under the high ball and a major attacking threat on the counter-attack and when joining the three quarters with his deceptive pace and killer side-steps. He is a genuine team man who always gives 100% for his mates.

Having previously played for the National Sub-16 team in friendlies, this is further official recognition of an exceptional talent.
