7th Birthday Festivities

The Club celebrates the 7th anniversary of its founding this Saturday with all teams in action at St. Julian's.

The curtain raiser for the 2013-14 season is this Saturday 12th October, with the traditional Birthday Convívio for players in the sub-8/10/12 age groups. The games take place on the grass pitch between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm. Players should arrive by 9.15 am to prepare fully for the games, which will be followed by a brief cake-cutting ceremony, presided over by the President of the Câmara de Cascais, and the opportunity to sing Happy Birthday to ourselves and to our (twin) sister club, Escolinha de Rugby da Galiza. Six other clubs will also be in attendance and we are expecting over 300 players to join in the fun. The usual food and drinks, much of it kindly provided by players' parents, plus another massive pig roast, will be on sale, with all proceeds going to this season's Tour Fund. 

Straight after the cake, from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm, the sub-14 team will also be in action, taking part in a mini-tournament with Galiza, Caldas and Santarém.

At 4.00 pm the sub-18 team open their Campeonato Nacional campaign with a match against Cascais.
