6th Birthday Convívio

Held in glorious sunshine with over 300 players from seven different clubs, the 6th birthday convívio proved to be a wonderful celebration of junior Rugby.

Once again our opening joint birthday convívio with Galiza was the party to be seen at last Saturday. Each of our junior teams played their hearts out under the admiring gaze of families and friends and clear blue skies.

Teams from Agronomia, São Miguel, Vila Moita, Santarém and Caldas da Rainha came together to help us celebrate in style and the games were both keenly competitive and played in an excellent spirit.   

Many thanks are due to the coaches and age-group coordinators who ensured that the playing side ran smoothly and to Jessica Hubert and her band of hard-working volunteers who helped to serve the generously donated cakes and savouries throughout the event, which raised over €1,200 for the 2012/13 Tour Fund.
