St. Julian´s Rugby Club: CLUB CAPTAIN: TOMÁS SILVA CLUB CAPTAIN: TOMÁS SILVA ================================================================================ Simon Mount on 22/01/2018 20:14:00 Tomás Silva has been appointed as Club Captain for the 107-2018 season Congratulations to Tomás Silva on his appointment as Club Captain. Tomás has been an outstanding servant of the Club since he first started playing with us at the age of 11 and is also the team captain of the sub-18 JAGUARs team. He perfectly embodies the spirit of Rugby, combining a fierce determination to give of his best, at all times and under any circumstances, with a rare degree of maturity and humility that makes him both the perfect role model for our younger players and a hugely popular teammate and leader. A top quality back-row forward with a complete skill set and phenomenal work-rate, Tomás never takes a backward step and has selflessly played through the pain barrier on many an occasion for the good of the team. His modest, understated demeanour conceals a passionate competitor and the clearest of thinkers, who always has time and the right words for the lesser lights in the squad, but who knows very well when and how to stoke the fires. Tomás has played a key role in bringing the players from St. Julian's and Galiza together as JAGUARs on and off the field and we could certainly not ask for a finer ambassador for our Club.
